Welcome to Pop Warner Panthers Cheer!
Age Group: Cheer participants will cheer in squads separated by age. Please review the weight chart as cheer follows the same age groups as football. We will field squads depending on sign-ups and coaches available.
Registration
Requirements: All participants must have a completed application with
parent consent, current physical on Pop Warner Form, Copy of report card, Copy of Birth Certificate and
fee in order to participate.
Practice
Locations/Schedule: Veteran’s
Park. All practices will start at 6
p.m.
*Bring plenty of water or a sports drink for your
child each practice.
**It’s extremely important to have a parent / guardian
attend practice in the event of injury or a shortened practice for whatever
reason. If you absolutely cannot attend
practice please inform the Head Coach and make sure that he/ she has a contact
phone number.
Game Schedules: All
Flag, Mighty Mite, Jr. Peewee, Peewee and Junior Midget regular season
games will be played on
Saturdays at Ogden Park. Schedule will be posted in late August.
Equipment: Pop Warner Panthers will provide each cheer participant a uniform and Pom Poms Cheer Uniforms and Pom Poms are property of Panthers Pop Warner and must be returned to the League at the end of the season. Coaches will let you know what you need to purchase once the season starts. Approximate Out-Of-Pocket expenses:
Hair bows- $5Registration Money: Pre-Registration cost is $80 before Aug. 1st , with a reduced rate for siblings. After Aug. 1st the registration fee increases to $90. $35.00 of this money is paid to the Coastal Pop Warner League for insurance, officials, and fields. The remaining $45.00 is used for uniforms, equipment, and operating costs. The equipment will be inventoried this year with parents being billed for any missing items.
*Jr. Peewee and Peewee cheer squads may be
eligible to travel to regional or national competitions. There may be additional travel expenses
associated with this.
